Items per page drop-down is not usable in list

When you share a list with someone (the URL will have a token=xxx parameter) the default list shows 20 items per page. However this can not be changed -- the drop-down menu to select number of items is broken.
Also can you add the number of items as a parameter to the URL please? E.g. token=xxxxx&itemsperpage=20
