I would love to be able to, for instance, highlight the beginning and the end of a longer sentence, without a long interjection in the middle, and have it appear as a single item on the highlights list.

For example, the sentence above could look like this:

I would love to [...] highlight the beginning and the end of a longer sentence [...] and have it appear as a single item...

It's much easier to read and extract the core information.
