allow for the ability to filter/group bookmarks according to highlight color.
I am a teacher, and when we do research papers, they designate each of their thesis statement subtopics a different color and then highlight any research they find that is applicable to that subtopic with that highlight color. The kids have stated that they wish that they could filter/group their highlights according to color in their library.

Thanks for your suggestion. Meanwhile, it is not very convenient for kids to filter highlights associated with one specific topic along with topics become more and more. When the number of topics increase, it is quite confusing with many colors. How about lists in group? You can create different lists
in group and use list to filter.
