  This is a very obvious gap in the side bar functionality.

  I completely agree. And Jeremy commented before I did: Yes, add a DELETE button! In both locations: The rightclick menu and when you do a bookmark on an existing bookmarked site (they both lead to the same popup window anyway). I sorely miss the delete button. The 'unread' feature is kind of pointless if you can't remove it afterwards after you've read it, for example.
