increase the character limit for link descriptions. (Make it match delicious, man.)
1000 Characters, minimum. Right now, all my delicious imports are being chopped off, which is going to mean a LOT of work on my end.

Two years later and Diigo didn't do shit about this.
After delicio.us fucked up their design again, I considered (again) moving to Diigo. But if Diigo doesn't give a flying fuck about it users, then I'll be blunt, FUCK YOU Diigo.

If I could I would spend all of my 50 votes here. C'mon Diigo, pretty please.

I too need a lot more characters to fit all my tags per bookmark! Please Diigo, it shouldn't pose a big problem for you to increase to say, 1,000 characters. Or at least double what you have now. Would pay-for-service have a higher number of characters? I would be willing to pay for it, although maybe not pay too much...

this was the only known downfall of diigo but it nearly swayed me to migrate delicious bookmarks to a competitor

Diigo! Wake up! This is a huge error in your import procedure.

Along those lines...there seems to be a character or tag limit but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when an entry limits the tag numbers/length of tags.

It appears that Diigo can take 1000 character descriptions, yet the import job truncates them to 256 - perhaps the script needs updated? Can it be run again?
Same issue logged in bugs forum - http://feedback.diigo.com/forums/76543-bugs/suggestions/1325555-my-bookmarks-tags-imported-from-delicious-but-th

Please, PLEASE increase the limit. Delicious already limits me to 1000 characters, and I can cope with that, but 256 is way too little. I've imported a few thousands of bookmarks from Delicious and the notes are all truncated.
