Looks like this issue will be addressed in the issue that Susana M is pointing to. Please continue there, this issue could well be marked as "Planned" as is the case here: https://feedback.diigo.com/forums/76211-ideas/suggestions/1062113-power-users-feature-filters

you can find this tag with more votes here. so if you support that one, we're more likely to have it done. I also really like this post.

I think this could be very very useful. A concrete example? I bookmark a lot of webmarketing sites that offer online tools. But i want also bookmark articles about webmarketing. Having this feature i can create a group for "webmarketing online tools" and a group for "articles about webmarketing". This is a very useful and simple feature to implement!

So im talking about in the library section, on the left hand side where you can select a tag, and it will then filter up items with just that tag. At this point you can click on another tag with the + and it will find both items that are A + B.
I propose having a system where you can specifically filter things OUT of the library -
For example.
Select 'tag A' first, then 'Add + tag B', then 'Remove - tag C'.
Which will give the result of:
Items that are tagged with A & B but not C
