hierarchy tags
I have multiple related tags that I would like to relate under a common tag.
something similar to gmail folders:
X / bla
X / bla2
Y / bla3
this way would be easier to categorize items.

I like your idea and expanded a bit on it. Feel free to have a look! http://feedback.diigo.com/forums/76211-ideas/suggestions/3199391-build-and-manage-tag-tree-hierarchy-with-support-f

O, right, I just see the comments of "about" a year ago, so I guess they are not being payed much attention too, as is usual.... :(

YESSSS, exactly the same as I just posted and the Diigo top post (over 800 votes): Organise your bookmark list like yours os, in differents folders
In other words Categories and (sub)subcategories.
Without this the whole sense of bookmarking somewhere else than google bookmarks completely disappears.
I am sure this proposal must be the most repeated in different words all over the forum. Would Diigo staff sum the corresponding votes? -

Hierarchy tags or folder tags should replace the list feature (else we'll have redondant information), then only group will remain to share infos between many users

to all 6 supporters, there has been a better developed idea in
"Organise your bookmark list like yours os, in differents folders".
So I'd suggest you go and vote there so i can remove this "clutter".You can find it here, as Graham previously mentioned:

Indeed.
New bug
http://uservoice.com/a/heJWM (2010-09-19) is
'UserVoice fails to find words in comments'
but I shouldn't encourage you to vote there, just yet. AFAICT it's a UserVoice bug (but the UserVoice quota prevents me from reporting the bug). Hey ho! -

(undated)
'Organise your bookmark list like yours os, in differents folders'— and consider transferring your vote.

Sorry that you were not steered to the other topic whilst drafting this topic; re http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/con0ent/1915334 it seems that UserVoice fails to find words within comments.

the example being:
both BED & CHAIR & TABLE are FURNITURE
so i'd like to browse for furniture and get bed, chair and table without having to add 2 tags to the item.PRESENT tagging: bed furniture
table furniturebrowse for furniture: shows both bed and table, but if the item is only tagged bed it won't appear on furniture (the upper class)
SUGGESTED system tagging: furniture / bed
furniture / tablebrowsing for furniture will automatically include bed and table tags.
I hope it's clear
