Ideas

Welcome to Diigo Ideas Forum

Do you have an idea? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We want to hear from you!

For bug-reporting or general how-to questions, please check the right side of this page and choose “Bugs” or “How-to” forum.

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Line up Sticky notes with browser window

I'd like to see the position of the sticky notes icons in chrome line up with the CSS of the web page, so that when I resize the window, the note moves to where its supposed to be.

  2. Show line breaks in sticky notes

Line breaks does not show up in sticky notes in the Firefox extension. They do show correctly in "My library" on the Diigo sites though.

  3. Let me edit my sticky notes

When saved, a sticky note can no longer be edited. I would be really nice to have that option.

  6. Highlighting in a section of a webpage

I highlighted part of a wikipedia article 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Holly_Compton#Legacy'; and then later went back to the webpage 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Holly_Compton'; and I couldn't see the highlights I made in that section.
Then I realized the URLs are a bit different and if clicked on that section in the wikipedia article, the highlights returned.

  8. Wordpress plugin

I wanted to add this to a Wordpress install to enable collaborative revisions to documents- akin to a wiki.

  9. provide asearch tool like Delibar on the Mac

When I need to search for a bookmark, I have to go to the Diigo website.
Why not being able to search directly on my Mac, just like Delibar with Delicious ?

  10. Diigo documents - save and search documents in computer...instead of websites, personal docs.

I have dozens of files in my computer. I need a way to store all of my documents and folders in ONE management system.
Many of these folders contain the same documents because I need them for different things. When I change one document I often forget what other folders that document is in and don't save it to there. So, I end up with multiple version of documents.
I need to be able to create one document and then tag it to filter into different folders.
    Million dollar idea.

  12. Fix the homepage

When I'm logged in to Diigo, is there really a need to link me back to the homepage, which tries to sell me on the benefits of Diigo? I'm already logged in. I've signed up. Just take me to my stuff.

  13. Copy and paste functions

It would be cool if there was an icon that would appear on hover (like the pencil one that displays a menu) that would allow for just that highlighted text to be copied onto users clipboard. I don't want all the highlighted text in the document on my clipboard, just what I'm hovering over

  15. library custom default views

I should be able to select what default views i want in Diigo when I log in as a default. For example, I may want my default filters set to public and advanced. In addition, I would like more control over which tags show by default - perhaps I have tags that I don't want others to see that are looking over my shoulder. Bottom line - we should be able to have more control over our default viewing options.

  16. ... to investigate more work on firefox-sidebar, because "power is nothing (worth) without control!"

    1. no tags are listet, when no search-keyword is given ...

    2. sidebar stays empty to often and need to restart again and again and again ...
